Sumter County, SC: Two Men Arrested on Fentanyl Trafficking Charges

Sumter, South Carolina – Two men are behind bars without bond after a drug investigation led to multiple felony charges, including fentanyl trafficking, raising concerns about dangerous narcotics circulating in the community.

According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the Drug Unit arrested the suspects at a residence on Alice Drive during a warrant operation tied to an ongoing investigation. Authorities say both individuals face several serious charges connected to drug distribution and illegal firearm possession.

Investigators identified the suspects as 35-year-old Kuwamane Deshon Colclough and 35-year-old Jamal Antonio English, both of Sumter. Each is charged with trafficking fentanyl involving between 4 and 14 grams, along with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and other controlled substances. Both also face firearm-related charges, including possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

The arrests stem from enforcement efforts targeting drug activity in Sumter County neighborhoods. Officials have not released additional details about seized evidence or whether more arrests are expected.

Both suspects were denied bond and remain in custody as the investigation continues, with authorities indicating more updates could follow.
