Beecher, IL – A 45-year-old man is in custody after surrendering to Will County deputies Tuesday following a months-long investigation into child exploitation materials.

According to the Will County Sheriff’s Office, the case began in January after detectives received multiple cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Investigators identified the Beecher resident as a suspect and later obtained search warrants tied to the case.

Authorities executed a search of the suspect’s home, seizing several electronic devices. A forensic review of those devices uncovered multiple videos and images classified as child sexual abuse material, leading to formal charges.

Officials say the suspect now faces 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, each classified as a Class 2 felony in Illinois. An arrest warrant was issued Monday, and the individual turned himself in Tuesday. He is currently being held at the Will County Adult Detention Facility without bond pending a court hearing.

Law enforcement emphasized the role of national cyber tip reporting systems in identifying and stopping exploitation cases. Additional investigative steps may follow as forensic analysis continues.
