Waldorf, MD – A renewed push for answers is underway in Charles County, where detectives are asking for the public’s help in solving a 2003 murder that remains unsolved more than two decades later.

According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, investigators are working with Crime Solvers to identify the suspect or suspects responsible for the April 7, 2003 killing of a 30-year-old woman in Waldorf. Officials say she was shot and killed as she approached her townhouse on Hadley Drive after returning home from dropping off her child at daycare.

Authorities say the victim’s other child was inside the home at the time, waiting for her return. The case has remained open since the incident, with detectives continuing to review evidence and pursue leads.

A combined reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest. Tips can be submitted anonymously through Charles County Crime Solvers by calling 1-866-411-TIPS.

Investigators urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward. Officials say even new details years later could help bring closure to the case and those affected.
