According to the Climate Prediction Center’s 6–10 Day Outlook issued July 30, New Hampshire is favored to experience above-normal temperatures along with above-normal precipitation through the outlook period. Manchester and Concord are expected to see temperatures climb above early August averages, while cities including Nashua, Portsmouth, Keene, Laconia, and Berlin could experience scattered thunderstorms capable of producing heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and localized gusty winds. Travelers should also be prepared for brief periods of reduced visibility and ponding on roadways, including stretches of Interstate 93, Interstate 89, and the Spaulding Turnpike during heavier rain.
