Norwegian Township, PA – A Schuylkill County man is wanted this week after authorities say he allegedly threatened a woman with a firearm during a domestic confrontation that escalated into a broader criminal investigation.

According to Pennsylvania State Police Troop L โ€“ Schuylkill Station, the incident happened Wednesday around 7:30 p.m. at a residence on New Street in Norwegian Township. Troopers said Thomas M. Kelly, 40, allegedly became aggressive during an argument inside the home, where he allegedly retrieved a handgun, fired a round into the floor, and repeatedly pointed the weapon at the victim while making threats.

Police said the victim fled the residence and contacted 911 with assistance from a passing motorist. Responding troopers attempted to make contact with Kelly, but those efforts were unsuccessful, leading authorities to obtain a search warrant for the property.

During the search, investigators reported recovering a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, spent casings, and live ammunition. Troopers also allegedly found suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and multiple resealable bags containing suspected narcotics. In addition, approximately 21 allegedly fraudulent inspection stickers and dozens of additional number stickers were seized.

Authorities have issued a warrant for Kelly, who is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment, and several drug and counterfeit-related offenses. Police allege the charges stem from both the firearm incident and the items recovered during the search.

Kelly is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He is believed to be driving a red truck with Pennsylvania registration ZVF7876.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Pennsylvania State Police Schuylkill Haven or submit a tip through PSPโ€™s tip line.
