San Francisco, California – Sunshine and comfortable temperatures are returning across the Bay Area today, offering a break from midweek rain with dry roads and improved travel conditions heading into the afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in San Francisco, highs will reach the low to mid-60s across much of the region today, including San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, with slightly warmer conditions inland. Cities like Santa Rosa, Napa, and Gilroy could see temperatures climb into the upper 60s under mostly clear skies.
Coastal areas such as Half Moon Bay and Bodega Bay will remain cooler, hovering near the upper 50s to around 60°F due to onshore flow, while inland valleys experience more noticeable warming during peak afternoon hours. Light winds and dry conditions will support stable travel across major corridors including U.S. 101 and Interstate 80.
Residents can expect a steady warming trend heading into the weekend, with temperatures gradually climbing each day. The dry pattern will also help reduce lingering moisture from earlier rainfall, limiting any flood concerns.
Mild and sunny conditions are expected to persist through the weekend, with additional warming possible into early next week as no major storm systems are currently expected.
