The more significant shift arrives Saturday evening, when a cold front moves into the region. Thunderstorm chances increase sharply, with widespread rain expected Saturday night into Sunday. Rain chances peak near 100% Saturday night, potentially impacting travel along Mountain Parkway and U.S. 23.
By Sunday, cooler air settles in, with highs dropping into the 60s and lingering showers early. Conditions turn drier and quieter by Monday, with temperatures falling back closer to seasonal levels.
