Phoenix, Arizona – Easter Sunday across Arizona will bring warm and dry conditions, with temperatures in the mid-80s before a steady warming trend pushes readings into the 90s as the week progresses.

According to the National Weather Service, this 6-to-10 day outlook highlights a strengthening ridge of high pressure across the Southwest, allowing temperatures to climb above normal and increase several degrees each day through midweek.

In Phoenix, afternoon highs on Easter Sunday will reach the mid-80s between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., creating favorable conditions for holiday travel and outdoor gatherings. Major routes including I-10, I-17, and Loop 101 will remain clear under dry skies.

By Monday through Wednesday, temperatures in Phoenix are expected to climb into the low to mid-90s, especially during peak afternoon hours. Tucson will follow a similar trend, starting in the low 80s Sunday before warming into the upper 80s and low 90s into the week.

Northern Arizona, including Flagstaff, will remain cooler, with highs in the 60s to low 70s, though still slightly above seasonal averages.

While Easter Sunday will support outdoor plans, the increasing heat into the week will raise heat exposure concerns, especially during afternoon events. Hydration and limiting time in direct sun will become more important as temperatures rise.

Above-normal warmth continues through April 9, with additional heat advisories possible if the warming trend intensifies.
