Tulsa, Okla. – Residents across northeast Oklahoma have a narrow window to prepare as thunderstorms are expected to move in by this evening, bringing the risk of hail and damaging winds through midnight.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, scattered storms will develop between 7 p.m. and midnight, with the strongest activity capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to quarter size. While the overall severe risk remains marginal, any storm that strengthens could quickly become hazardous.

The primary impact zone includes Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Bartlesville, and Muskogee, with storms moving through key corridors such as I-44 and U.S. 75. Drivers may encounter sudden downpours, reduced visibility, and slick roads during heavier rainfall.

Although the tornado risk remains low, lightning and localized heavy rain will accompany stronger storms, posing risks for outdoor activities and evening travel.

Residents are urged to monitor alerts, secure outdoor items, and move indoors as storms approach. Conditions will improve after midnight, but additional storm chances remain possible later this week.
