Cleveland, Ohio – Easter Sunday travel across eastern Ohio looks manageable, with cooler but near-normal temperatures and only spotty rain expected to briefly impact roads during early holiday travel hours.

According to the National Weather Service, a more stable pattern will settle over much of the Midwest compared to the East Coast, keeping precipitation near to slightly below normal through Wednesday night. Eastern Ohio, including Cleveland, Akron, and Youngstown, may see occasional light rain, mainly during the early morning hours Sunday between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.

Major routes such as I-90, I-77, and I-76 are expected to remain largely clear, though brief wet pavement could reduce visibility during passing showers. No widespread flooding or hazardous travel conditions are expected.

Columbus, Newark, and Zanesville will see similar conditions, with mostly dry stretches dominating the day and only isolated showers interrupting outdoor plans. Temperatures will hover close to seasonal averages, offering more comfortable conditions for Easter gatherings compared to areas farther east.

Cincinnati and southern Ohio remain mostly dry, reinforcing a favorable setup for travel and outdoor events statewide.

This quieter pattern holds through midweek, and while a few passing systems could bring brief rain chances, no major disruptions are expected at this time.
