According to the National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington, Tuesday will offer the lowest rain chances of the week, with partly sunny skies and springlike warmth across D.C., Baltimore, and surrounding areas. A stalled front nearby will begin influencing conditions by Wednesday, triggering scattered showers and thunderstorms into the afternoon and evening hours.
High temperatures will climb into the mid-80s Wednesday across much of the region, including Arlington, Alexandria, and Silver Spring, before additional rounds of rain continue into Thursday. While widespread severe weather is not expected, periods of moderate rain and lightning could impact travel along I-95, I-495, and I-270, especially during peak commute times.
