Los Angeles, California – A prolonged stretch of heat and dry weather will grip the Pacific Coast starting Saturday, increasing wildfire concerns and limiting overnight cooling.
According to the National Weather Service, coastal California carries a 70–90% likelihood of above-normal temperatures, with below-normal precipitation expected across much of the region.
Los Angeles and San Diego will see highs pushing into the 80s, while San Francisco trends several degrees above normal under clear skies. Dry offshore flow may further lower humidity levels.
Portland and Seattle remain mild and dry, with little to no rainfall expected through midweek, contributing to early-season dryness.
Fire agencies are closely monitoring conditions as vegetation dries faster than typical for early April.
Residents should conserve water, avoid outdoor burning, and limit strenuous outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat.
The dry pattern persists through Wednesday, with additional advisories possible if heat intensifies.
