Connecticut I-95 Pursuit Ends With Arrest After Rush-Hour Chase

Norwalk, CT – A driver accused of leading police on a dangerous rush-hour pursuit along Interstate 95 has been arrested after Connecticut State Police disabled the vehicle with stop sticks and took the suspect into custody following a brief struggle.

According to Connecticut State Police, the incident began at approximately 5 p.m. on July 15, 2026, when Troop G was notified that the Norwalk Police Department was following a black GMC Sierra wanted in connection with a suspected larceny and an evading motor vehicle collision.

Troopers said they observed the pickup traveling north on Interstate 95 near Exit 19, where the driver was allegedly using the right shoulder to pass heavy rush-hour traffic.

Authorities deployed stop sticks near Exit 20, successfully disabling the vehicle. The pursuit came to an end in the center lane near Exit 25, where the driver allegedly attempted to flee on foot before troopers took him into custody after a brief struggle.

State police identified the driver as Glenn London, 61, of Bridgeport.

According to police, London was charged with interfering with an officer, reckless endangerment, evading responsibility involving property damage, reckless driving, and engaging police in a pursuit. The charges are allegations, and London is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

After processing, London was released on bond to the Wallingford Police Department on an unrelated arrest warrant, according to state police.

No injuries related to the pursuit were reported.
