Wisconsin – A quiet, crisp start across Green Bay is quickly giving way to brighter skies and a brief spring warm-up, but a fast-moving pattern shift will bring rain and even snow back into the region within days.

According to the National Weather Service, clouds break for sunshine through the late morning, pushing highs near 60°F with southwest winds gusting up to 20 mph.

That mild stretch fades quickly.

Temperatures dip back to around 50°F Monday as clouds increase, setting the stage for a wetter pattern. By late Monday night, showers develop with a 60% chance of rain, and a few rumbles of thunder cannot be ruled out.

Roads could turn slick after midnight. Plan extra time if traveling along I-43, Highway 41, and local routes near the Fox River.

Rain continues into Tuesday with another 60% chance of showers. Gusty northwest winds begin pulling colder air into northeast Wisconsin, dropping temperatures sharply by evening.

By Wednesday, the colder air settles in.

Highs struggle near 41°F, and by late day into the evening, a rain-to-snow transition becomes possible. Even light snow could create patchy slick spots, especially on bridges and untreated roads.

This is a classic setup for flash freezing. Wet pavement from earlier rain may refreeze quickly after sunset as temperatures fall into the upper 20s.

Drivers should stay alert, especially during the evening commute.

Looking ahead, early April hints at a gradual warm-up returning, but for now, spring remains unsettled across the Great Lakes.
