Pontiac, MI – A 56-year-old South Lyon man has been arraigned on multiple felony charges after authorities say he led officers on a multi-jurisdiction vehicle pursuit through several Oakland County communities before fleeing on foot.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Todd Timothy Wilson, 56, of South Lyon, was arraigned Sunday, July 12, 2026, in 52-1 District Court on charges including three counts of second-degree fleeing and eluding a police officer, three counts of malicious destruction of police property, one count of resisting and obstructing a police officer, and one count of driving while his license was revoked.

Wilson received a $200,000 cash/surety bond with no 10% provision. As a condition of release, the court ordered GPS home-confinement tether monitoring. A probable cause conference is scheduled for Monday, July 20, with a preliminary examination set for Monday, July 27.

According to the sheriff’s office, the charges stem from a July 9 incident after deputies received a Be On the Lookout (BOL) from Livingston County regarding a driver who had allegedly fled a traffic stop and was suspected of operating under the influence of alcohol and narcotics.

Deputies located the vehicle in Lyon Township and attempted a traffic stop. Authorities say Wilson allegedly fled, leading officers from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, Milford Police Department, and Wixom Police Department through Lyon Township, Milford, Wixom, Highland Township, and Rose Township.

During the pursuit, investigators allege Wilson rammed two Wixom Police Department patrol vehicles and one Oakland County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle before deputies ended the chase using a Pursuit Termination Technique (PTT).

According to the sheriff’s office, Wilson then allegedly fled on foot into a wooded area, prompting a large search involving the Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team, K-9 Unit, Drone Team, and deputies who also searched a nearby pond after he was reportedly seen entering the water. He was not located that night.

Highland Township deputies arrested Wilson without incident the following morning.
