Antioch, IL – Authorities are asking for the public’s help as the search continues for a 45-year-old man who disappeared from unincorporated Antioch, prompting an extensive search involving drones and K-9 teams.
According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Aaron S. Hallstrom, 45, was last seen around noon Sunday walking west on Greenview Avenue after leaving the 25200 block of West Greenview Avenue in unincorporated Antioch.
Investigators said sheriff’s deputies have searched for Hallstrom using drones and canines, but those efforts have not yet located him.
Authorities said Hallstrom contacted a family member by phone around 8 p.m. Sunday, but he has not been seen or heard from since. Investigators do not know where he was when that call was made, and they believe his cellphone is no longer operational.
Hallstrom is described as:
- 45 years old
- 6 feet 1 inch tall
- 215 pounds
- Brown hair
- Blue eyes
Officials said it is unknown what clothing he was wearing when he left.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about Hallstrom’s whereabouts to contact detectives at 847-377-4000. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911 immediately so officers can check on his well-being.
The search remains active.
