Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas – 58° temperatures and light rain are creating slick roads across North Texas through Saturday evening, slowing travel and reducing visibility. Cooler air behind a cold front is keeping conditions damp and below normal for late March.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, highs will remain in the mid-50s to mid-60s across the region today, with east to northeast winds near 10 mph reinforcing the cooler pattern. Cloud cover will persist through the day, with pockets of light rain possible, especially west of I-35 near areas like Cisco and Graham.

Drivers along I-35, I-20, and U.S. 287 should expect occasional wet pavement and reduced visibility, particularly during periods of light rain. Cities including Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco, and Killeen will stay locked in cooler conditions, with limited sunshine and damp ground conditions impacting outdoor plans.

Residents should allow extra travel time, use headlights in low visibility, and prepare for chilly conditions if spending extended time outdoors. While severe impacts are not expected, the combination of cool temperatures and moisture will make for a dreary day across the region.

Conditions improve overnight as rain chances diminish, but temperatures will drop into the mid-40s to low 50s. A gradual warming trend returns Sunday into early next week with drier weather and more seasonal conditions.
