Glasgow, Montana – 60°F highs are giving way to a sharp cooldown by Tuesday, with rain developing Monday and snow expected to return by Wednesday night, creating hazardous travel conditions across northeast Montana. The transition from mild, dry weather to colder, unsettled conditions will impact roads and outdoor activity through the week.

According to the National Weather Service in Glasgow, dry and seasonable conditions will hold through the weekend, with highs ranging from the low 50s to upper 60s Saturday and Sunday. A cold front will move through Sunday night, bringing increasing chances for showers across the region into Monday.

Communities including Glasgow, Wolf Point, Sidney, and Plentywood will see the first impacts Monday, with scattered rain showers and highs cooling into the 40s and 50s. By Tuesday, colder air pushes in, dropping highs into the 30s and low 40s, especially across the Hi-Line and along U.S. Highway 2.

The most significant change arrives by Wednesday night into Friday, when additional moisture combines with colder temperatures to bring a mix of rain and snow. This could create slick travel conditions along key routes including Highway 2, Highway 13, and rural county roads, particularly during overnight and early morning hours.

Residents should prepare for rapidly changing conditions, including wet roads transitioning to icy patches later in the week. The unsettled pattern is expected to persist through Friday, with additional advisories likely as precipitation type and timing become clearer.
