Frankfort, IL – Frankfort residents may notice mosquito control trucks in their neighborhoods Friday evening as the Village continues its seasonal mosquito abatement program.
According to the Village of Frankfort, Clarke Mosquito Control is scheduled to conduct mosquito spraying on Friday, June 26, as part of the community’s ongoing efforts to reduce mosquito populations during the summer months.
Village officials said treatments typically occur every seven to 10 days, depending on mosquito activity, nuisance levels and weather conditions.
Residents who experience excessive mosquito activity or discover areas of standing water can report concerns directly through Clarke Mosquito Control’s online reporting portal. The village also encourages residents to register for service notifications to receive alerts before nighttime mosquito applications occur in their area.
Officials said registration requires residents to create an account and verify their address to determine whether they live along a scheduled application route.
Mosquito control programs are designed to help reduce nuisance mosquitoes and lower the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses during peak summer months.
Additional information, including reporting tools and notification registration, is available through the Village of Frankfort’s mosquito control webpage.
