Jeffersonville, IN – Campbell’s Snacks has announced plans to close its manufacturing facility in Jeffersonville, a move that will affect approximately 111 employees and result in a phased workforce reduction beginning later this summer.
According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notice dated June 18, 2026, Snyder’s-Lance Inc., doing business as Campbell’s Snacks, informed local and state officials that the company intends to shut down operations at its plant located at 1826 Spring Street in Jeffersonville.
The notice states the closure is part of the company’s broader manufacturing network optimization initiatives. Campbell’s said approximately 111 employees currently work at the facility.
The layoffs are expected to occur in stages. Company documents indicate that 52 employees are anticipated to separate from employment between Aug. 16 and Aug. 31, 2026. Another 58 workers are expected to be affected between Sept. 1 and Sept. 15, 2026. One additional employee is scheduled for separation by Jan. 31, 2027.
Federal WARN notices are required when employers plan significant layoffs or plant closures, providing advance notice to workers, local governments, and workforce agencies.
The company noted that the dates and number of affected employees are based on current expectations and could change. Employees are expected to receive written notice at least 60 days before their anticipated employment end date, in accordance with federal law.
The Jeffersonville facility has operated as part of Campbell’s snack business portfolio, which includes Snyder’s-Lance brands. The closure represents another manufacturing restructuring effort within the food industry as companies continue evaluating production networks and operational costs.
Local workforce development officials are expected to work with affected employees as the transition process moves forward over the coming months.
