Fort Worth, Texas – Drivers across North Texas will wake up to a noticeably cooler start Saturday as a cold front pushes temperatures into the 40s overnight with scattered light rain moving through the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, rain chances will range from 20% to 40% late Friday night into Saturday morning, with most areas seeing only a trace to a tenth of an inch. The cooler air settles in quickly behind the front, dropping overnight lows into the upper 40s to low 50s across cities including Fort Worth, Dallas, Waco, and Killeen.

The shift will be felt across major corridors like I-35 and I-20, where damp roads could impact early Saturday travel. Areas west of DFW, including Graham and Cisco, have the best chance at seeing steadier light showers overnight.

Saturday stays cool, with highs only reaching the upper 50s to near 60 degrees in much of North Texas. While widespread flooding is not expected, residents should allow extra time for travel and keep devices charged in case of isolated outages.

The cooler pattern lingers into the weekend, with additional updates possible if rain chances increase.
