California – Headlights glow through patchy fog across East Los Angeles this morning, where low visibility is slowing drivers before sunshine breaks through later today.

According to the National Weather Service, fog will linger through mid-morning hours before gradual clearing pushes temperatures to around 80 degrees this afternoon. Calm winds early will shift slightly by midday, helping improve visibility across key routes like I-5, US-101, and surface streets through downtown.

Conditions warm quickly into the weekend. Highs surge into the mid-80s Saturday and Sunday under clear skies, bringing a strong early-season heat feel across Los Angeles, Glendale, and Pasadena. Light winds keep conditions stable, making for ideal outdoor plans but increasing sun exposure risks.

Morning travel may still see brief fog pockets, especially in low-lying and coastal-adjacent areas. Allow extra time during early commutes as visibility can change quickly block to block.

Clouds begin to return by Monday, bringing slightly cooler temperatures near 79 degrees. While dry conditions hold for most of the day, a shift toward a more unsettled pattern begins to take shape.

By Tuesday, a chance of rain develops, mainly after late morning, with light showers possible across the metro area. Roads could turn slick after several dry, warm days, especially during peak travel hours.

Looking ahead, cooler spring weather continues into midweek with additional chances for light rain and cloud cover.
