Maryland – Rain taps steadily on windshields across Baltimore this morning, with slick roads and reduced visibility slowing traffic along I-95, I-83, and the Baltimore Beltway. Puddles are forming quickly, especially near low-lying underpasses and city streets.

According to the National Weather Service, showers continue through late morning before tapering off, with up to a quarter inch of rain possible and wind gusts reaching 23 mph . Temperatures fall through the day, dropping from the upper 50s into the upper 40s by afternoon.

Road conditions gradually improve into the afternoon as rain becomes more scattered. Still, damp pavement lingers into the evening. That sets the stage for a sharp temperature drop tonight, with lows near 34°F. Any leftover moisture could create isolated slick spots early Saturday, especially on bridges and untreated roads.

Saturday brings a clear shift. Sunshine returns, but highs stay cool near 47°F with a brisk northwest wind. By Sunday, a stronger rebound takes hold, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures climbing to around 58°F.

The warm-up continues into Monday, when highs reach near 66°F across the Baltimore and D.C. corridor. However, another round of showers may develop later in the day, potentially impacting evening travel.

Looking ahead, temperatures continue trending warmer into midweek, with highs pushing into the 70s and periodic rain chances returning.

If you’re heading out this morning, slow down on wet roads and watch for pooling water in urban areas.
