Gainesville, FL – Two people were arrested Wednesday afternoon after an alleged armed disturbance tied to a food delivery dispute in northeast Gainesville, authorities said.

According to the Alachua County Sheriffโ€™s Office, deputies responded around the afternoon hours Wednesday to the 5000 block of NE Waldo Road after a caller reported that someone had allegedly pulled a gun during a confrontation. When deputies arrived, the victim told investigators they had ordered takeout that was never delivered and later exchanged messages with the delivery person, who allegedly directed them to a different location.

Authorities said 27-year-old Jacquez Keith and 26-year-old Calista Crenshaw arrived at the agreed location, where a verbal dispute allegedly escalated. During the confrontation, the victim began recording the encounter on a cellphone. Investigators said Crenshaw allegedly pulled out a black handgun and brandished it at the victim while Keith was reportedly seen inside the vehicle. The victim later contacted law enforcement.

Deputies used intelligence to locate the suspectsโ€™ vehicle, described as a gray Ford, near the 15000 block of NW 150th Court in Alachua. Officials said the incident itself allegedly occurred at a residence in Gainesville about 30 minutes earlier. Both suspects were taken into custody, and deputies were able to recover the firearm, according to authorities.

Crenshaw was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and improper exhibition of a firearm. Keith was charged with allegedly tampering with evidence.

The investigation remains ongoing.
