Indianapolis, IN – Central Indiana is expected to see a warming trend through the weekend as temperatures steadily rise into the upper 80s and low 90s while thunderstorm chances return later this week.

A more active weather pattern develops Friday into the weekend as warmer air pushes north into Indiana. Friday could bring scattered afternoon showers with highs climbing near 74 degrees. Thunderstorm chances continue Friday night into Saturday, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.

Saturday’s temperatures surge into the mid-80s before even hotter weather develops Sunday and Monday. Indianapolis could approach 89 degrees Sunday and near 92 degrees Monday as summerlike heat expands across the Midwest.
