Fort Wayne, IN – A 22-year-old woman is facing a murder charge after police say a fatal shooting early Saturday left an adult female dead in a Fort Wayne neighborhood.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, officers responded around 9:35 a.m. on May 9, 2026, to the 1800 block of Griswold Drive in Allen County following reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, they located a deceased adult female at the scene.
Police say officers quickly identified a suspect in the area, later confirmed as 22-year-old Arionna Miller of Fort Wayne. Detectives with the department’s Homicide Unit launched an investigation at the scene.
According to authorities, Miller was taken into custody following the investigation and was preliminarily charged with murder. She was transported to the Allen County Jail.
Officials have not yet released additional details about the victim or the circumstances leading up to the shooting. The case remains under active investigation.
Authorities have not indicated whether additional suspects are involved.
