Chandler, AZ – Drivers traveling along Interstate 10 through the Wild Horse Pass corridor should prepare for overnight delays this week as lane restrictions take effect between Chandler and Sacaton.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane near the Gila River Bridge (mileposts 171–172) from 9 p.m. Monday, May 4, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, for barrier relocation work. This closure is expected to create slowdowns for overnight commuters and freight traffic moving through Maricopa and Pinal counties.

Additional restrictions will impact a longer stretch of highway throughout the week. ADOT says eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane between Seed Farm Road and State Route 387/Pinal Avenue/State Route 187 (mileposts 179–187) nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting Sunday, May 3, and continuing through Friday morning, May 8. Crews will be conducting striping work along the corridor.

The construction zone runs through a heavily traveled հատված connecting the Phoenix metro area with southern Arizona, including communities near the Gila River Indian Community and Casa Grande. Drivers heading eastbound during overnight hours should expect reduced speeds, merging traffic, and possible delays.

ADOT advises motorists to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when driving through work zones. No daytime closures are currently scheduled, but overnight travelers should remain alert for changing traffic patterns.
