Nashville, TN – Temperatures will climb quickly into the mid-80s by Thursday afternoon, bringing an early taste of summer before rain chances return by Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, highs will reach between 76°F and 86°F Thursday after a mild Wednesday in the mid-60s to mid-70s. Dry conditions will hold through Thursday evening, allowing for outdoor plans across Middle Tennessee without weather disruptions.

Cities including Nashville, Murfreesboro, Franklin, and Clarksville will see the warmest conditions Thursday afternoon, with light winds and partly cloudy skies. The stretch of dry weather may also allow pollen levels to rise and soils to dry out.

Rain chances begin increasing Friday, with a 30% to 60% chance of showers and storms developing by midday into the afternoon. Some storms could bring brief heavy rainfall, especially along I-40 and surrounding corridors.

Residents should take advantage of dry conditions through Thursday while preparing for a shift to wetter weather Friday. Additional updates may be issued as storm timing becomes more precise.
