Westchester County, NY – A police pursuit on the Saw Mill River Parkway injured three officers and led to multiple felony charges Thursday night.

According to the Westchester County Police Department, the incident began around 7:55 p.m. when an officer conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation on Main Street in Mount Kisco. Police said the driver initially pulled over before allegedly fleeing at high speed and entering the southbound Saw Mill River Parkway.

Authorities said additional officers deployed spike strips near Marble Avenue in Thornwood, successfully stopping the vehicle. During the encounter, the suspect vehicle allegedly sideswiped an unmarked police car and then collided with other marked units.

Police identified the driver as Angel Bautista, 21, of East 238th Street in the Bronx. Bautista is facing multiple charges, including Assault in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, both felonies. Additional charges include Reckless Endangerment, Reckless Driving, Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. He was also issued several traffic summonses.

According to police, the three injured officers were treated at local hospitals and later released. Bautista allegedly complained of pain while in custody and was evaluated by EMS personnel at police headquarters in Hawthorne.

Officials said Bautista was held overnight for arraignment in Mount Pleasant Town Court and was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

The crash temporarily impacted parkway traffic, affecting late-evening commuters and rideshare drivers in the corridor.
