Morgan County, AL – A routine traffic stop in Falkville on Wednesday led to multiple felony drug charges after deputies reportedly discovered methamphetamine and fentanyl inside a vehicle.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the stop occurred on April 29, 2026, when sheriff’s patrol deputies, along with Falkville Police, pulled over a vehicle within city limits. During the stop, authorities said illegal narcotics were found, prompting a response from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit.

Officials identified the suspect as 35-year-old Tyler Blake Bailey, who was taken into custody at the scene. According to authorities, Bailey was charged with two counts of drug trafficking—one for methamphetamine and one for fentanyl. He also faces charges of tampering with physical evidence, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear, pay, or comply.

Investigators have not yet released details on the quantity of narcotics allegedly recovered or whether additional suspects may be involved. However, trafficking charges in Alabama typically indicate a significant amount of controlled substances.

Bailey was transported to the Morgan County Jail, where he remains held on a $600,000 bond as of Thursday. Jail records confirm the charges, though no court date has been publicly announced.

Authorities emphasized that arrests are public information and noted that all individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
