Harrington, DE – Two Hartly residents are facing multiple felony charges after authorities allege they were involved in repeated burglaries at a Kent County farm, including the theft of an all-terrain vehicle and tens of thousands of dollars in damages.
According to Delaware State Police, the investigation began after troopers responded to a reported burglary on November 17, 2025, at a property along the 3000 block of Woodyard Road. Investigators allege unknown suspects unlawfully entered a barn and chicken house, cutting copper wiring and stealing equipment, causing an estimated $80,000 in damages.
Police said a second incident occurred Saturday, when troopers were again called to the same property for another alleged burglary. Authorities allege suspects entered a barn and removed several items, including an ATV. Days later, the victim reportedly discovered the stolen ATV listed for sale on social media, prompting further investigation.
The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit took over the case and, according to officials, identified 41-year-old Ronald Keiser and 42-year-old Heather Crane as suspects allegedly connected to the sale of the ATV. Detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence in Hartly.
On Friday, police executed the warrant and took both individuals into custody without incident. Authorities allege multiple items belonging to the victim were recovered during the search. Investigators also allege Crane was linked to the earlier November burglary.
Crane faces several felony charges, including burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and conspiracy, and was released on her own recognizance following arraignment. Keiser was also charged with multiple offenses, including allegedly receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle, and was similarly released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
