Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin – A shed fire in the Town of Osceola on Monday afternoon caused significant property damage but no injuries, according to local authorities.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported at approximately 4:27 p.m. on Triple S Road when a passerby called 911 after spotting smoke coming from a shed. Deputies arrived to find heavy smoke and flames breaking through the roof of a 24-foot by 40-foot structure.
Authorities said deputies quickly alerted occupants of a nearby residence on the same property as a precaution. Fire crews responded shortly after and worked to contain and extinguish the blaze before it could spread to surrounding buildings.
The shed sustained significant damage, and multiple tools and pieces of equipment inside were also affected by the fire. Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported.
Preliminary findings indicate the fire was likely caused by an unattended wood stove inside the shed. Investigators noted the incident is not considered suspicious at this time.
The Campbellsport Fire Department led the response, with assistance from the Eden and Kewaskum fire departments.
Residents are reminded to monitor heating equipment closely and ensure proper safety precautions are in place to reduce fire risks.
