Las Vegas, Nevada – Afternoon heat is surging across southern Nevada today, with Las Vegas climbing to 93 degrees and nearby desert communities pushing into triple digits by late day.

According to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas, temperatures remain several degrees above seasonal averages despite a slight cooldown from Saturday. Death Valley is expected to peak near 103 degrees, while Laughlin and Lake Havasu approach 100 to 101 degrees.

Across Clark County, cities including Henderson, North Las Vegas, and Mesquite will see highs in the low to mid-90s, creating elevated heat exposure during peak afternoon hours. Even typically cooler areas like Pahrump are expected to reach around 93 degrees.

The dry desert air will allow temperatures to rise quickly through the afternoon, increasing the risk of dehydration for those spending extended time outdoors. զբ Residents are encouraged to wear light clothing, stay hydrated, and limit strenuous activity during peak heat between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Travelers along I-15 and U.S. 95 should be prepared for intense sun exposure and ensure vehicles are stocked with water.

Temperatures remain above normal into the evening, with warm conditions continuing through the end of the weekend and into early week.
