Lockport, NY – Authorities have identified two individuals killed in a fatal motor vehicle crash Wednesday evening in the Town of Lockport, Niagara County.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 6:34 p.m. on April 22, 2026, in the 5300 block of Ridge Road. Officials said the vehicle’s operator was identified as 83-year-old Gary Milsom, and the passenger as 73-year-old Maria Gump. Both were residents of Erie County.

Investigators confirmed both individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene following the collision. Additional details about how the crash occurred, including the number of vehicles involved or contributing factors, have not yet been released.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Department Accident Investigation Unit is actively investigating the incident. Authorities have not indicated whether weather, speed, or other conditions played a role in the crash.
