Lenox Township, MI – Two people were arrested after a narcotics investigation prompted a search warrant and early morning emergency response at a Lenox Township home.

According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, detectives with the Sheriff’s Enforcement Team (SET), working with the Warren Police Department, executed a search warrant Wednesday on Oakleigh Street following an investigation into alleged drug use and distribution at the residence.

Authorities said deputies were first dispatched around 2:24 a.m. for a 55-year-old woman who was not breathing. Life-saving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful. During that response, deputies observed drug paraphernalia inside the home, leading to the search warrant.

Robert Kazmierczak, 55, and Samantha Pingilley, 33, both of Lenox Township, were taken into custody and lodged at the Macomb County Jail.

Investigators reported seizing crack cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, digital scales with residue, drug paraphernalia, seven rifles, and multiple boxes of ammunition and magazines from the residence.

Kazmierczak was arraigned in 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore on multiple felony charges, including delivery/manufacture of controlled substances, possession of narcotics, and weapons offenses as a prohibited person. Pingilley was also arraigned on felony drug and weapons charges tied to the case, as well as a separate incident in New Haven on Tuesday, March 17.

Bond was set at $5,000 cash/surety for Kazmierczak and $2,000 cash/surety for Pingilley in one of her cases.

The investigation remains ongoing.

The case may impact local commuters and nearby residents due to increased law enforcement activity in the area.
