La Porte County, IN – A 16-year-old was arrested in La Porte County following a months-long child exploitation investigation.

According to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office, the case began Dec. 19, 2025, when Detective Alex Pishkur, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, received an assignment through the ICAC Data System. Authorities said the investigation involved reviewing images and information believed to be child sexual abuse material.

Over the following weeks and months, Detective Pishkur allegedly obtained and executed multiple search warrants involving Google and social media platforms, including Snapchat and X. Officials reported that evidence gathered through those warrants identified a La Porte County juvenile as a suspect.

By mid-March, investigators established probable cause, according to the sheriff’s office. The juvenile was located and taken into custody earlier Friday, then transported to the La Porte County Juvenile Services Center.

The teen is accused of seven counts of child exploitation, a Level 4 felony, and four additional counts of exploitation, a Level 5 felony. Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and no further details have been released.

Assisting in the case was Detective Derrick Deck, officials said.

The charges are allegations, and the juvenile is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

The case highlights ongoing enforcement efforts targeting online exploitation, an issue that can affect students and young social media users across the region.
