Fairbanks, AK – A steady warming trend is underway across Alaska, with temperatures expected to climb significantly over the next several days, bringing some areas above zero for the first time in weeks.

According to the National Weather Service in Fairbanks, temperatures along the North Slope and West Coast will gradually rise through early next week, with highs approaching or exceeding 0°F by midweek. Interior مناطق including Fairbanks will also see a noticeable warming trend, with daytime highs climbing closer to the teens and even low 20s.

Communities such as Utqiaġvik, Nome, and Kotzebue will experience the most notable shifts, as temperatures trend upward each day. While still cold, the gradual warming marks a transition toward more typical late March conditions.

Travel conditions may improve slightly as extreme cold eases, but icy roads and packed snow will remain a concern on routes like the Dalton Highway and local ग्रामीण roads.

The warming pattern is expected to continue through late next week, with additional increases possible. Residents should continue cold-weather precautions, though conditions will become less severe in the days ahead.
