Detroit, MI – Mild temperatures in the 60s will hold through Friday across southeast Michigan before a cooler weekend shift brings falling temperatures and rain by Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, highs will reach into the low to mid-60s Friday across Metro Detroit, including Ann Arbor, Monroe, and Pontiac. Cooler conditions are expected Saturday, with highs ranging from 50 to 56 degrees, especially cooler in the Thumb region.
Cities such as Flint, Saginaw, and Port Huron will see temperatures trend downward into the weekend, with overnight lows dropping into the upper 20s to mid-30s Saturday night. By Sunday, a system brings showers into the region, with highs ranging from 58 to 66 degrees south and only 42 to 53 degrees across northern areas.
Roads including I-75, I-94, and M-59 could become slick during periods of rain Sunday, particularly during the afternoon.
Conditions remain relatively mild despite the cooldown, but the shift marks a transition to a wetter pattern. Additional updates are expected as rain chances increase into Sunday.
