Boston, MA – Gusty winds up to 35 mph and cool temperatures in the 40s and low 50s will dominate Friday, with rain set to arrive overnight and impact early Saturday travel.
According to the National Weather Service in Boston, winds from the south will range between 10 and 15 mph with higher gusts through the afternoon, while skies remain partly sunny before clouds thicken late in the day. Showers are expected to move in after 10 p.m. and continue into Saturday morning.
Cities including Boston, Worcester, and Providence will see highs between 45 and 54 degrees today, with breezy conditions making it feel cooler near the coast. Roads such as I-90 and I-93 could become slick overnight as rain develops.
Looking ahead, Saturday remains mostly dry with partial sunshine, but additional showers are possible Sunday before steadier rain arrives late in the day. By early Monday morning, colder air may allow a rain-snow mix across higher elevations in northern Massachusetts, though little to no accumulation is expected.
Winds ease slightly this weekend, but unsettled conditions will continue. Additional updates are expected as the next round of rain approaches Sunday night.
