Denver, Colo. – A building surge of early-season warmth is expected to spread across Colorado and Kansas, bringing above-normal temperatures and a stretch of dry conditions heading into early April.

According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, the 8-to-14 day outlook from Friday, March 27 through Thursday, April 2 shows a strong signal for above-normal temperatures across both states, with near- to below-normal precipitation expected across much of the region.

In eastern Colorado, including Denver and Pueblo, daytime highs are expected to climb steadily, with warmer afternoons becoming more consistent. Lower elevations along the Front Range and eastern plains may see the most noticeable heat.

Across Kansas, including Wichita and Dodge City, temperatures are also expected to trend well above seasonal averages. Prolonged stretches of warm afternoons could push highs into the 80s and possibly higher, especially across central and western parts of the state.

Dry conditions are expected to dominate, limiting widespread rainfall and increasing early-season dryness across fields and open land.

Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, be mindful of fire risk in dry areas, and prepare for a sustained stretch of warmer-than-average weather.

This pattern is expected to persist into early April, with additional updates likely as temperature trends evolve.
