Las Vegas, Nev. – A surge of early-season heat is expected to build across Nevada and Utah, pushing temperatures well above normal and creating an extended stretch of dry conditions heading into early April.

According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, the 8-to-14 day outlook from Friday, March 27 through Thursday, April 2 shows a strong signal for above-normal to well above-normal temperatures across both states, with dry conditions favored throughout much of the region.

In southern Nevada, including Las Vegas, daytime highs are expected to climb into the 80s and possibly higher, marking one of the first significant warm stretches of the season. Northern areas, including Reno, will also trend warmer than average, though slightly less intense.

Across Utah, including Salt Lake City and St. George, temperatures are expected to rise steadily with warmer afternoons becoming more consistent. Southern Utah may experience the most noticeable heat, while northern areas remain mild but above normal.

Dry conditions are expected to dominate, with below-normal precipitation signals limiting storm activity during this period.

Residents are urged to stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat, and be mindful of increasing dryness across the region.

This pattern is expected to persist into early April, with additional updates likely as temperature trends evolve.
