Nashville, TN – Temperatures across Middle Tennessee are set to climb sharply into the 80s this weekend following a cooler, cloudy midweek pattern.
According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, conditions today remained limited by cloud cover and scattered precipitation, including light rain, sleet, and snow in some areas. A more significant warming trend begins Thursday.
High temperatures are expected to rise into the 60s and low 70s Thursday, followed by widespread 70s on Friday. By Saturday, highs are forecast between 76 and 84 degrees, with Sunday reaching the upper 70s to mid-80s across much of the region.
Rain chances remain low through the weekend, generally between 0% and 20%, supporting dry conditions during the warming trend.
The pattern shifts early next week, with temperatures dropping back into the 60s Monday and Tuesday. Overnight lows will also fluctuate, rising into the 50s by the weekend before cooling again early next week.
The National Weather Service indicates this warming trend will bring more consistent springlike conditions after a mixed midweek pattern that briefly included wintry precipitation.
The rapid temperature swing may impact students, outdoor workers, and weekend travelers as conditions shift from cool and cloudy to warm and dry within a few days.
