Nevada – A cold, crisp start is gripping Reno this morning, with temperatures near 32°F in colder spots and frost likely on windshields, creating slick patches on bridges and overpasses as early travel begins.

According to the National Weather Service in Reno, clear skies will quickly give way to strong daytime warming, pushing highs near 71°F today and climbing further into the low to mid-70s by Monday. Light winds will keep travel conditions smooth along Interstate 80 and U.S. 395 through the early stretch.

Expect a steady warm-up through the next two days. Sunday brings partly sunny skies with highs near 73°F, followed by Monday peaking around 74°F under mostly sunny conditions. Mornings remain cold, so drivers should watch for brief slick spots from early frost before temperatures rebound.

Changes begin late Monday. A slight chance of showers develops overnight, signaling the start of a more unsettled pattern. By Tuesday, showers become likely after late morning, with highs dropping to near 59°F. Roads may turn wet quickly, especially during the midday and evening commute.

By Tuesday night, colder air filters in, and rain could mix with snow as snow levels drop. While accumulation appears limited, drivers over higher terrain and passes near I-80 should remain alert for slushy conditions and reduced visibility.

Looking ahead, cooler temperatures continue into midweek with additional chances for light rain or snow before gradual clearing returns later in the week.
