Philadelphia, PA – Temperatures are set to drop sharply into the low 30s by Monday night, putting plants and outdoor plumbing at risk after a stretch of cooler, unsettled weather.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, an onshore wind will keep coastal areas cooler today while inland locations warm into the 70s. Conditions turn more unsettled Sunday, with showers likely through early afternoon and highs limited to the mid-40s to low 60s across the region.

Cities including Philadelphia, Camden, Wilmington, and Trenton will feel a noticeable chill, especially along I-95 and coastal routes where northeast winds persist. By Monday, skies begin to clear, but a reinforcing shot of colder air will push nighttime temperatures toward freezing.

Widespread frost or a freeze is expected Monday night into early Tuesday, especially in suburban and rural areas. Residents should cover sensitive plants, bring pets indoors, and prepare for colder overnight conditions.

Warmer air returns by midweek, but the early-week cold snap could prompt additional advisories as conditions evolve.
