Kentucky roads are turning slick in spots this morning as light snow drifts across Louisville, dusting cars and leaving wet pavement that can quickly refreeze. Temperatures sit near 29°F, and that narrow margin keeps bridges and overpasses especially icy.

According to the National Weather Service in Louisville, light snow continues through the morning with temperatures staying below freezing long enough to create slick travel conditions. Even minimal accumulation can stick on untreated surfaces, especially along I-64, I-65, and the Kennedy Bridge into southern Indiana.

Drivers across Jefferson County and into Clark and Floyd counties in Indiana should expect patchy ice through late morning. Wet roads may appear harmless but can freeze quickly in shaded areas. This is the time of year when flash freezing becomes a real threat. Slow down and leave extra space between vehicles.

By afternoon, temperatures climb toward 52°F, helping melt remaining snow and improving road conditions. However, that melting may leave damp pavement into the evening hours.

Thursday continues the warming trend with highs near 62°F and a slight chance of rain. By Friday, the first full day of spring brings highs near 72°F, a sharp turnaround from the morning chill.

Saturday pushes even warmer, reaching near 76°F with partly sunny skies. The rapid shift from winter-like conditions to spring warmth may lead to lingering wet spots early, but widespread hazards fade.

Five Day Forecast for Louisville, Kentucky:
Wednesday: Chance of snow, high 52°F
Thursday: Slight chance of showers, high 62°F
Friday: Partly sunny, high 72°F
