Ohio–Kentucky — Gray clouds hang low over Cincinnati this morning while gusty winds sweep across the Ohio River Valley. Cold air pushes in fast, and scattered snow showers are beginning to develop across the region.

A Wind Advisory remains in effect through the early morning for southwest Ohio, including Cincinnati, Dayton, and surrounding communities. Southwest winds between 20 and 25 mph, with gusts reaching up to 45 mph, are creating brisk conditions across the region.

Temperatures sit near 43°F early this morning, but colder air is steadily arriving behind a passing cold front. Meteorologists say scattered snow showers will likely develop later today, briefly lowering visibility at times.

Drivers traveling across Interstate 71, I-75, and I-275 should prepare for rapidly changing conditions. Wind gusts may push vehicles around on exposed bridges and elevated roadways.

Light snow could mix in by afternoon as temperatures fall toward the upper 30s. Accumulations appear light, generally less than a half inch, but slick spots may develop as evening temperatures drop.

The gusty wind will continue through much of the day, making it feel noticeably colder than the thermometer suggests. Loose outdoor items could also be blown around as winds peak during midday.

Conditions calm tonight as temperatures fall sharply into the upper teens. Any wet pavement could refreeze overnight, increasing the risk of flash freezing on untreated roads and sidewalks.

A brighter pattern returns Tuesday with sunshine and calmer winds. High temperatures reach the lower 30s, though another small chance of snow returns by Wednesday.

The bigger story arrives midweek as a warming trend begins building across the Ohio Valley. Temperatures rebound quickly as spring weather pushes in from the south.
