Reno, NV – A rapid spring warm-up is underway across northern Nevada, with temperatures climbing toward the mid-80s by midweek and bringing some of the warmest weather so far this season to the Reno area.
According to the National Weather Service office serving Reno, sunny skies will dominate the region through the weekend with calm winds and steadily rising temperatures. Highs are expected to reach around 70°F today, a comfortable but noticeable jump compared to recent cooler conditions across the Truckee Meadows.
The warming trend accelerates Sunday with highs near 68°F to 70°F across Reno, Sparks, and Sun Valley, followed by a bigger surge Monday as temperatures climb to around 77°F. Clear skies and light winds will allow daytime heating to ramp up quickly across the valley floor.
By Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures rise further with highs expected to reach 84°F Tuesday and near 85°F Wednesday, nearly 15 degrees above seasonal averages. Roads including Interstate 80, U.S. Highway 395, and Pyramid Way will see dry conditions and clear visibility during the stretch of warm weather.
Residents planning outdoor activities should stay hydrated and prepare for stronger afternoon sunshine as spring warmth expands across western Nevada. Forecasters expect dry weather to continue through the week.
