Albany, NY – Gusty winds up to 44 mph could rattle the Capital Region through Saturday evening, with breezy conditions and a chance of rain setting the stage for a wetter start to the workweek.

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday across Albany and surrounding counties. Winds from the southwest between 18 and 23 mph may create difficult driving on elevated roadways and bridges across the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, clouds gradually break later Saturday as temperatures reach around 41°F. A few rain or snow showers may develop during the late morning before skies partially clear.

Conditions stay quiet tonight with partly cloudy skies and lows dropping to around 25°F. Sunday remains mostly cloudy but milder with temperatures climbing to around 46°F across the Capital District.

Rain develops after 2 a.m. Monday and becomes steady through the day, with highs reaching around 63°F. Rainfall totals between 0.25 and 0.50 inches could create wet travel along major routes including Interstate 87, Interstate 90, and U.S. Route 9.

Colder air pushes into eastern New York Monday night, allowing rain to transition to rain and snow showers before daybreak Tuesday. Accumulation should remain light, but brief slick spots may develop.

Drier conditions return Tuesday afternoon with highs near 37°F, while seasonable weather settles across the Albany area through midweek. Additional advisories could be issued if wind gusts strengthen during the next storm system Monday.
