Turner, Maine – Deputies are investigating a series of overnight burglaries tied to a stolen pickup truck.

According to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police first received a commercial burglary alarm around 3:21 a.m. Friday at Northeastern Firearms, 868 Auburn Road in Turner. State police then notified the sheriff’s office, and deputies were dispatched minutes later.

At approximately 3:35 a.m., Corporal Gregory Pealatere was responding southbound on Auburn Road when he encountered a vehicle without headlights leaving the parking lot of Vacationland Cannabis, 1520 Auburn Road, which was closed at the time. The vehicle fled the area, and the deputy later lost sight of it near Main Street and Turner Center Road.

Investigators later determined the vehicle was a gray 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning that had allegedly been stolen from a residence on Marston Hill Road in Auburn. The truck was eventually recovered in the 118 Pennell Street area of Westbrook with assistance from the Westbrook Police Department.

Deputies responding to Vacationland Cannabis confirmed the business had been burglarized and that an undisclosed number of products were stolen. At Northeastern Firearms, investigators said there had been an attempted burglary, but suspects were unable to gain entry.

Later that morning, at approximately 1:08 a.m., the sheriff’s office also responded with Sabattus and Lewiston police to First Due Firearms, 62 Greene Street in Sabattus, for another attempted burglary believed to be connected to the Turner incidents.

Authorities say video evidence has identified two suspects:

  • A white, slender male wearing a North Face jacket, black athletic pants, and black sneakers
  • A white, slender male wearing a gray zip-up jacket with a “Sang Builders” logo, blue sweatpants, and red sneakers with white soles

Physical evidence has been recovered from the crime scenes and the stolen vehicle, and the investigation remains active.
