Aroma Park, IL – Residents impacted by Tuesday’s EF-3 tornado will have access to a major relief shipment and free storage solutions this weekend as the community continues to reel from the devastating storm.
Aroma Park Methodist Church is scheduled to receive a semi-truck on Sunday preloaded with essential recovery items. According to a village update provided Friday, the shipment includes totes filled with cleaning supplies, toiletries, and boxed meals specifically for those displaced or affected by the tornado. Official times for the distribution are expected to be confirmed and posted to the village’s social media channels later today.
According to First Trust Bank and Mobile Affordable Storage, a joint promotion is allegedly offering free 30-day mobile storage units to Aroma Park area residents who were impacted by the storm. The offer reportedly includes the waiver of all setup and delivery fees for the first month, with discounted rates available after the 30-day period. Local representatives also noted that U-Haul is participating in the relief effort by offering storage units at no cost for one month to storm victims. According to the announcement, these resources are strictly available to confirmed victims of the tornado, and proof of residency is required for all storage assistance programs.
